Phil Johnson is especially well suited to teach on Spurgeon. He is the executive director of Grace to You, has long been associated with John MacArthur’s ministry, and serves as an elder and pastor at Grace Community Church. He also founded several influential Christian websites, including The Spurgeon Archive, one of the original major online collections devoted to Spurgeon’s sermons and writings. That archive later became part of the broader Spurgeon.org effort when it was donated by Johnson and combined with Midwestern Seminary’s Spurgeon Center resources.
